A Way With Animals is a dog walking and pet sitting service provider based in Sussex County, NJ. Our company is owned and operated by Cheryl Monteleone. Cheryl has resided in Sussex County for more than 30 yrs along with her husband and very spoiled cats.

As a lifelong pet owner and animal lover, Cheryl grew up surrounded by a variety of pets including dogs, cats, chameleons, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, and ducks. Cheryl is also a former 15 year volunteer with BARKS, the Byram Animal Rescue Kindness Squad where she served this organization in a variety of roles.

In 2012, Cheryl decided to follow her true passion and founded A Way With Animals, fueled by her unconditional love for animals, and a belief that pets thrive with an uninterrupted daily routine, in the comfort of their own home.

Our service is perfect for the busy pet owner. While you’re at work or traveling, your pet(s) enjoys a stress-free experience. We provide mid-day walks, potty breaks, and puppy check-ins during the day. You’ll rest easy knowing your dog is happy and exercised during the week.

We love cats and other small animals too! While you’re away, you can relax knowing your pet is well fed and the litterbox is clean. We’ll also give them a good brushing if necessary and lots of play time. Kittens, especially, will benefit from extra play and attention while you’re not home. This service is purr-fect for socializing your pet to people outside of your family.

Does your pet have an illness that requires special care? A Way With Animals is equipped to handle a variety of medical needs. We will adhere to your pet’s individual routine and ensure their safety in the environment they know best… their own!
